Duramed Futures Tour Championship –June 12 - 15, 2008

Hickory Point Golf Course is the home of the longest running LPGA Futures tournament. This year Decatur will host their third Major event for the Futures Tour. Over 144 future LPGA golfers will compete at this wonderful event. This 72-hole event attracts the top female professional golfers from all around the world. Decatur and Forsyth are proud to host this event along with many people who open up their home to the golfers for a more personal touch. SWIM COURSE DESCRIPTION
.75 mile course that enters the water at the beach, moves around two markers in the water, and exits water on the boat docks to the west of the beach.

BIKE COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 19 mile bike route is an out and back.  It starts and finishes on rolling twisty roads that are closed to traffic.  Just the middle part is open to traffic.

The route leaves the transition area and follows Lakeshore Drive to the east and onto William Street: the course enters at Brush College intersection and follows along east (right) on William St. (Route 105).  A turn around will be out on 105 and come back the same way you came.

Absolutely no bike riding within the transition area..bikes must be walked or run through this area.

Part of the bike course is open to traffic. Please stay to your right on the roadways. Volunteers and police officers will be monitoring the course.

Drafting on the bike course is not allowed. Race officials will be monitoring the course.

Bikes must be placed back on racks before beginning run segment.

RUN COURSE DESCRIPTION
4 mile course begins at Lakeshore Drive and follow is until a turnaround is at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Brush College Road

USTA/Ursula Beck Tennis Pro Tennis Classic - info pending

Pro tennis tournament swing in Decatur! The city is the site of an ATP event similar to the Duramed Futures Tour. The tournament is be held at Fairview Park along with a qualifying tournament. The main draw will have up to 128 players. Chuck Kuhle, tennis pro at Decatur Athletic Club is the organizer of this event.
