August 10, 2007 was Decatur Day at the State Fair. In spite of record high temperatures, Decatur "wowed" fair-goers with great entertainment and a wide sampling of our area's excellent quality of life. |

United Doberman Club National Convention
Decatur/Forsyth welcomed the United Doberman Club to the area for their national convention in May, 2007. They held obedience, agility and conformation trials, SAR dog training and other useful workshops and competitions. Here are a few candids of these magnificent dogs and their humans. |

Chinese Travel Professionals Visit Decatur/Forsyth - May 2007
Amy (Zhao Li Hua) and Susan (Zhang Xinyu) are from Shenyang, a city of 7 million people, which is the capitol of Laioning Province in northeast China. Amy and Susan visited Illinois for three months, to gather travel and tourism information for U.S. itineraries for their respective travel agencies. Shenyang is a sister city to Chicago, and Laioning is a sister state to Illinois. Amy and Susan traveled throughout Illinois, spending several days in each region with local CVB personnel. |

Woofstock 2007 at Progress City
Progess City USA attracts many events to the Decatur/Forsyth area, aside from the Farm Progress Show. Among them are pet and livestock shows and exhibitions. Woofstock is a popular event for area dog owners and a fundraiser for the local animal shelter. |
