Lake Decatur

Lake Decatur is a popular fishing, sailing and boating site located within the city limits. The 2,380-acre lake is home to many sporting events.

One of the popular exhibits at the Children’s Museum of Illinois is located right inside the front door. Inside the two-story building are ample opportunities to stimulate the mind and tickle the senses.

Project Playground is a free children’s play area to run, climb, drum, spin, swing and have fun. Admission is free and it is located near Scovill Zoo and next door to the Children’s Museum of Illinois.
